Sherpa Technology Group, a leading Canadian distributor of premium audio, video, and communications products, is seeking a Business Development Executive (BDE) to join our Mississauga branch at 5080 Timberlea Blvd.
In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with clients, strengthening their partnership with Sherpa by delivering exceptional service and support. Responsibilities include achieving sales & growth objectives by providing expert advice, recommending products, and assisting with system design for residential and commercial AV projects.
As a key member of the business development team, the BDE will work alongside the Business Development Manager (BDM) within the assigned territory, fostering client relationships and executing tailored strategies to expand our network and drive growth.
Business Development Executive Responsibilities:
- Establish new business relationships and enhance existing ones.
- Identify partner needs, design, and propose comprehensive solutions.
- Take a proactive and strategic approach to partnership development.
- Achieve Sales & Business Development objectives.
- Identify and pursue new brand distribution opportunities.
- Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as required.
- Some travel may be required for this role.
Qualifications for Candidates:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business development, preferably in the consumer electronics industry.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to tailor and implement effective growth strategies.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong organizational skills and technical proficiency in applications such as Office 365, Teams, and Salesforce and a solid overall technical knowledge understanding of products and technology.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Adaptability & Commitment: Flexible, proactive, and dedicated to the success of both the team and our customers.
