Torus Power Inc., producer of the world’s finest clean power solutions for high performance audio/video systems, is looking for a Technical Support Rep to join our team in Toronto.
We require an individual with a strong technical knowledge of residential and commercial electrical systems or experience with electronics repair and/or audio video installations. This is an onsite role based at our factory located in North York.
Skills, Interests and Qualities needed:
- Good understanding of low-voltage (240V and below) electrical systems in North America and around the world.
- Good understanding of consumer and professional audio and AV/theatre systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills – logical approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
- A polite, tactful, and friendly attitude with excellent communication and people skills.
- Highly motivated with good planning and organizational skills.
- The ability to multitask and solve problems efficiently and creatively and meet targets and deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Job tasks:
- Technical pre-sale product specifying and helping our dealers select the correct Torus Power products.
- Supporting dealers and electricians with installation requirements for our 220V-230V-240V products in North America and International markets.
- Technical lead for warranty and service support for dealers and end users.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical product issues with our lead engineer.
- Set clear objectives, evaluate progress and instill a high-performance culture with focus on teamwork, service excellence and ownership for resolving customer issues.
- Supporting our dealers and sales team with product knowledge and technical pre/post sales product support.
- Creating and maintaining product specification sheets and training support documents.
- Ensure that high quality, up-to-date owner’s manuals exist for all products.
- Other tasks as required by the company.
