Dell Debuts XPS Desktop, S-Series Monitors, G5 Gaming Desktop, and More

Dell has introduced a slew of new computing products targeted as those who are working, or playing, at home.

The new XPS Desktop is powered by the latest 10th Gen Intel Core (up to i9K) processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER graphics. Available in a much smaller form factor that its predecessors, it comes housed in a tool-less chassis so you can continue to improve your PC over time.

It includes up to a 500W power supply to support up to 225W graphics, four storage bays, and three expansion slots. Engineers designed the system to maximize performance and airflow from the open architecture. Thermals are enhanced with voltage regulator cooling, strategic venting placement, and high RPM fans to maintain adequate airflow.

Designed and validated for hobbyist content creators as part of NVIDIA’s RTX Studio program and backed by NVIDIA Studio drivers, configurations labeled as “Creator Edition” have been carefully chosen for those who work in digital content creation fields like photography, graphic design, and music production.

The XPS Desktop features a modern and minimalist design in either Mineral White or Night Sky colours. It is currently available starting at an MSRP of US$650.

Complementing the desktop are the new S-series monitors, which come in Platinum Silver and sizes from 27″ to 32″ with integrated speakers, 99% sRGB colour coverage, and AMD FreeSync technology.

The Dell 32 Curved 4K Monitor (S3221QS) comes equipped with dual 5W speakers tuned for an enhanced audio-video experience. It will be available August 20 starting at US$500. The 27 4K Monitor (S2721QS; August 20, starting at US$450) and 27 QHD Monitor (S2721DS; August 20, starting at US$350) feature IPS technology for vibrant colours across any angle, says Dell.

For the first time, Dell’s Premium Panel Exchange is available for the new S-series monitors during the limited hardware warranty period.

Additionally, Dell announced its new G5 Gaming Desktop, which is compact in design so it can more easily fit in places like a bedroom or office, easy to expand or upgrade thanks to tool-less entry. Featuring Intel’s new 10th Gen Core CPUs, you can enjoy 1,080p gaming with lightning quick responsiveness through VR-capable NVIDIA GeForce GTX/RTX or AMD Radeon RX 5600 graphics cards. It starts at US$700.

For the first time, the new XPS 15 (starts at US$1,300) will offer an additional colour variant: frost machined aluminum with arctic white woven glass palm rest across select configurations, available this summer.
