Walmart Canada Promotes the “Endless Aisle” with 28 million Grocery Items

 Walmart Canada has announced the company has added more than 175 third-party grocery sellers through Walmart Canada Marketplace’s Grocery offering in 2021. The company, through third-party selling has added more than 20,000 new grocery items providing access to niche and new sellers along with established favourites. 

The new offerings are mostly international offerings and bring the total sku selection offered by Walmart.ca for groceries to over 28 million items from over 4,000 sellers.

Walmart Canada states the Marketplace Grocery’s expansion has been rapid, with sellers onboarding more than doubling from January to June in 2021. Marketplace grocery orders are trending at 6x compared to 2020, with an increased average order size.

To participate, all Walmart Canada Marketplace Grocery sellers must have a physical presence in Canada.
