Yamaha Corporation today announced the WXA-70A Compact Streaming Amplifier and WXC-70A Compact Streamer, two Hi-Fi components designed to combine modern streaming and flexible integration for today’s homes.
The WXA-70A adds Class D amplification for passive speakers, while the WXC-70A adds network streaming to existing Hi-Fi systems. Both models feature an ESS SABRE ES9039Q2M DAC, Yamaha’s YPAO (Yamaha Parametric room Acoustic Optimizer), room calibration, HDMI eARC/ARC, Dialogue Level contro l, MusicCast compatibility and integration features including Control4 support, web setup, IR input and 12V trigger. YPAO uses an included microphone to measure the listening environment and adjust playback for the room, helping compensate for speaker placement and room acoustics without complex setup.
Both models use a clean digital and analog circuit design intended to preserve detail and reduce noise. The ESS SABRE ES9039Q2M DAC, Yamaha’s D.O.P.G. (DAC on Pure Ground) configuration, separated circuit areas and careful signal routing support accurate playback from high-resolution digital sources.
Yamaha’s digital playback architecture uses ASRC (Asynchronous Sample Rate Converter) clock rebuilding to help reduce jitter before the signal reaches the DAC. This supports clearer timing, focus and separation across sources such as streaming, TV audio and connected components. ASRC is a digital audio processing stage that rebuilds or converts the incoming digital audio signal using its own stable clock.
A rigid aluminum enclosure, reinforced chassis, damping materials and heat-dissipation design help support mechanical stability and reduce unwanted vibration. HDMI eARC/ARC enables one-cable TV audio connection with compatible TV remote control for power and volume. The MusicCast app, included remote and front-panel OLED display support everyday operation, while Dialogue Level control helps improve vocal clarity for movies, TV and sports.
MusicCast provides app-based control for sources, playback, room settings and compatible multi-room systems. The WXA‑70A and WXC‑70A also support Wi‑Fi streaming with AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Roon Ready and more.
For custom installation, both models include Control4 compatibility, web setup, IR input and 12V trigger support. Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth can be disabled individually to help prevent unintended source selection in installed systems.
