Rotel Updates MKII Models

Kevro International, the distributor for Rotel, has announced upgraded MKII models timed to align with Rotel’s 60-year anniversary.  The latest additions to the Rotel lineup include the A12 MKII Integrated Amplifier and CD14 MKII CD Player, both available later this month. 

The new models benefit from improvements to the circuit designs and enhancements to critical audio components, that Rotel claims “enhances the overall soundstage by delivering a wider and more genuine presentation of the music, with increased depth and natural expression.

Both models feature a new, premium, Texas Instruments 32-bit /384 kHz DAC, power supply refinements, precision acoustic coupling capacitors, and circuit board layout isolation techniques that lower the noise floor and reduce distortion.

The A12 MKII measures only 3 inches tall and features a 60 watt Class AB amp, the A12 MKII is replete with inputs supporting various sources including a Moving Magnet Phono Stage, 4 RCA analog, 4 digital, PC-USB and high quality aptX Bluetooth for wireless streaming. The A12 MKII is also certified Roon Tested for integration with a Roon system.  The amp will have an MSRP of $1,499.00

The CD14 MKII CD player features an upgraded CD drive mechanism, new CD controller chipset, DAC and tuned critical acoustic components. The CD14 MKII provides RCA outputs and a coaxial digital output, allowing it to be utilized as a CD transport supporting off-board digital-to-analog processing while the RS232, 12V trigger and IR remote input to provide installation flexibility. The DE player has an MSRP of $1,099.
