ADI | Snap One has announced a new line of Episode outdoor speakers engineered to withstand harsh outdoor environments, tested to the highest reliability standards.
The new Episode Extreme Environment Speakers are marine-grade, architectural audio speakers that have undergone rigorous environmental testing, including accelerated salt spray, wind exposure, and high-heat endurance trials.

Episode Extreme Series outdoor speakers can withstand temperatures up to 90°C, IP67-rated water intrusion, and hurricane force winds. A factory-sealed rear enclosure and hydrophobic PCB coating ensure consistent performance in marine environments, saunas, and heavily exposed outdoor areas like coastal porches and commercial patios.
Each one boasts a rust-proof aluminum grille and high-grip dogs with rubber screw covers.
They fit existing Episode rough-in brackets and cutouts, enabling a seamless upgrade path for existing projects. A secure clip-in grille design guarantees a tight hold that won’t rust, warp, or loosen over time, which is critical for extreme temperature fluctuations and wind-prone areas. The rubber screw covers protect key components, improving long-term stability and finish in rugged environments.
The Episode Extreme speakers maintain the brand’s signature audio fidelity with a two-way design with plastic basket woofer and a titanium dome tweeter that delivers detailed, room-filling sound whether installed in a sauna, screened porch, or near the sea.
Available globally in all regions, the new Extreme lineup includes 6″ and 8″ In-Ceiling Extreme Environment Speakers as well as 6″ and 8″ Replacement Grilles in black and white (rust-proof, weatherproof). This premium addition complements the existing Core and Signature lines.
