Airthings Appoints Ivar Kroghrud as New CEO

Airthings ASA, Norwegian-based manufacturer of indoor air quality monitoring and radon detection products, has announced the appointment of Ivar Kroghrud as CEO.

As CEO, Kroghrud will initially be tasked with leading Airthings’ forthcoming delisting and subsequent emphasis on long-term innovation, gross margin expansion, and continued product excellence, says the company. Airthings also recently announced a 47% increase in revenue in Q4 2025 compared to Q3 2025.

Kroghrud brings extensive experience as an entrepreneur and technology leader. He co-founded and previously served as CEO of Questback. Since departing in 2013, he has co-founded multiple software companies and served as an investor and board member/chair for several startups and growth-stage companies, including Admincontrol and Signicat. Kroghrud was also a partner at a venture capital firm.

He holds a BSc from the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy and an MSc in Strategy from BI Norwegian Business School.
