In celebration of a decade of the M50x line of headphones, Audio-Technica is introducing the limited-edition ATH-M50x ENSO headphones. The LE version sports the same all-black style of the original ‘phones and come with, for the first time, custom engraving on the earcups and headband that reflects the sound waves and brushstrokes found in Japanese ink paintings of the ENSO circle.

While the exterior is different, everything else about the headphones are the same, from the construction to the sound quality. They feature 45 mm large-aperture drivers with copper-clad aluminum wire voice coils, plush sound isolation pads, and an over-ear design. The earcups swivel 90 degrees for convenient, one-ear monitoring and collapse or fold flat for easy portability.
Each pair is engraved with a unique serial number, identifying it as one of only 5,000 pairs sold worldwide. As a bonus, 500 randomly selected boxes contain a postcard that awards the lucky purchaser with an exclusive ENSO accessories kit including a headphone stand and carry case. As a standard, they come with a protective carrying pouch, 6.3 mm screw-on adapter, and three interchangeable cables (detachable 1.2-3-metre) coiled cable, detachable 3-metre straight cable, and detachable 1.2-metre straight cable.

The Audio-Technica limited-edition ATH-M50x ENSO headphones are available for US$199.
