Bell Expands Wireless Footprint in Canada

Bell has announced the expansion of its wireless footprint in Canada, with improvements planned for 224 communities across the country by early 2026.

The initiative includes building new towers and upgrading existing infrastructure to improve connectivity and provide customers with more reliable streaming, faster download speeds, higher quality video calls and AI applications, says Bell.

Work is already underway in urban, rural, and northern communities. Bell says the enhancements will deliver better coverage, faster speeds, and greater reliability. This will help Canadians stay connected for bandwidth-intensive activities like streaming, gaming, and engaging in high-quality video calls.

Since 2020, Bell has invested nearly $24 billion in its wireless and Pure Fibre networks to expand connectivity to Canadians. Today, Bell’s wireless network provides coverage to over 99% of the population, with 89% having access to 5G/5G+ services.
