CES 2024: Kanto Audio Showcases ORA4 Speaker in Private Suite

Kanto Audio invited WiFi HiFi for an exclusive look at its upcoming ORA4 speaker at a private suite in the Vdara hotel during CES 2024. And we may have gotten a sneak peek at some upcoming products, too.

The Kanto Audio ORA4 is a 70-watt desktop speaker that features Bluetooth 5.0 and has a USB-C input supporting 24-bit/96kHz, analogue RCA Line-in, and sub-out. Using the USB Type-C port, you can connect a host of audio sources to the ORA4, ranging from smartphones to digital audio players, PCs, Mac, and more.

Kanto says this compact yet powerful speaker is ideal for listening to music, gaming, or even as a recording studio monitor. It has separate Class D amplifiers for the woofers/tweeters, which the company says delivers “smooth, accurate frequency response.” With the subwoofer output’s built-in automatic crossover at 80 Hz that high-passes the speakers and low-passes the sub-out, you can use it with a powered subwoofer like the Kanto Audio SUB8 for deeper, more booming bass.

Each ORA4 speaker employs separate amplifiers for both woofers and tweeters, ensuring accurate frequency response during playback. Power output per tweeter is 12W, and per woofer 23W, for a combined bi-amplified power output of 70W.

The Kanto Audio ORA4, the big brother to the existing ORA speaker in the line-up (which launched last October), will sell for about US$399 once it’s available some time in Q2/Q3 2024.
