CES 2026: Asus Rog Kithara Headset is Designed With Hifiman

Asus is revealing a new wireless headset at CES 2026, the Asus Rog Kithara. But this one is different from the traditional line because it focuses primarily on sound quality. Developed in collaboration with Hifiman, the headset boasts audiophile-grade sound for those who care about sound quality while also meeting other needs of competitive gamers.

The headphones are equipped with Rog-customized 100mm Hifiman planar magnetic drivers with an ultra-wide frequency response (8Hz–55kHz) for precise imaging, low distortion, and detailed sound reproduction. The are open-back design with a wide, natural soundstage and strong spatial separation.

A full-band MEMS boom microphone (20Hz–20kHz) with separate signal channels and high SNR provides clean, natural voice capture. There’s a balanced headphone cable with swappable plugs (4.4mm balanced + 3.5mm / 6.3mm single-ended) for use with DACs, amps, PCs, consoles, and mobile devices.

The comfort-driven design is suitable for long listening sessions, including an adjustable headband, plush memory-foam padding, and interchangeable leatherette/fabric and velour earcups. They are lightweight, weighing just 420 grams, and come with a durable metal frame.
