CES 2026: Audeze Maxwell 2 Gaming Headset is for Serious Gamers

Audeze is releasing its Maxwell 2 gaming headset at CES 2026, an upgrade to the original Maxwell headset, improving audio quality, comfort, and connectivity. Designed for serious competitors, at the heart is the company’s patent-pending SLAM technology.

SLAM technology is designed to produce heightened spatial immersion and precision along with punchier bass response, says Audeze. First introduced in 2024’s flagship CRBN2 electrostatic headphones, this new technology joins Audeze’s advanced 90mm planar magnetic drivers with patented Fluxor magnets and Fazor waveguides to deliver an expansive 10Hz to 50kHz frequency range.

Maxwell 2 is designed for extended hours of comfortable gameplay as well thanks to the upgraded suspension strap with ventilation holes to ensure long-term comfort. A new earpad design offers increased space to the over-ear closed-back fit to accommodate fatigue-free listening. The new magnetic attachment system makes earpad replacement quick and easy.

The AI-powered noise-canceling microphone system features the newly upgraded Filter AI noise removal with twice the bandwidth. The removable hypercardioid boom microphone eliminates unwanted background noise, ensuring clear voice communication. Hardware volume control makes it convenient to adjust audio level.

The high-capacity lithium-polymer battery provides over 80 hours of continuous wireless use (at 80dBA) and there’s USB-C fast charging when you need a battery boost.

The Maxwell 2 works with the new Audeze app that affords an improved user experience and customization management. The app also works with the original Maxwell headset and is available on Windows and MacOS, as well as in the iOS and Android app stores.
