CES 2026: Satechi Unveils Premium CubeDock, Pro Cable Powered by Thunderbolt 5

Satechi always has lots of goodies to show at CES and this year is no different with the launch of its first Thunderbolt 5 devices, including the Thunderbolt 5 CubeDock with SSD Enclosure and Thunderbolt 5 Pro Cable.

Engineered for creative professionals, tech enthusiasts, and power users, these solutions are powered by Intel’s Thunderbolt 5 technology and offer faster speeds, more bandwidth, and future-ready connectivity. They transform your desk setup into a professional-grade creative hub, offering 80Gbps bi-directional bandwidth, 120Gbps bandwidth for external graphics, and full support for high-res multi-monitor setups.

“With the Thunderbolt 5 CubeDock, we set out to deliver desktop-level capability in a sleek, compact footprint,” says Brock Guclu, President of Satechi. “One cube with infinite connections. The Thunderbolt 5 Pro Cable creates the ideal pairing to bring Thunderbolt 5 performance into everyday setups.”

“Thunderbolt 5 delivers the next generation of speed and performance for creators and professionals,” adds Ben Hacker, General Manager of the Client Connectivity Division at Intel. “We’re excited to see Satechi combine its premium design and powerful functionality to showcase the versatility and bandwidth that Thunderbolt 5 technology can deliver.”

The Thunderbolt 5 CubeDock is a premium docking station that delivers up to 120Gbps bandwidth, support to multi-displays up to 8K, 140W charging, and an integrated NVMe SSD enclosure, all in a compact 5 x 5 x 2-inch form factor. With just one cable, you can connect pro-grade displays, transfer massive files in seconds, and charge a laptop at full speed, says the company.

It features triple 8K/60Hz or triple 4K/144Hz with supporting devices for immersive workflows; 180W smart power supply with 140W host charging and 30W PD to power smartphones, tablets, and even small notebooks; three Thunderbolt 5 downstream ports, USB-C/A 10Gbps, UHS-II SD/microSD, and 2.5Gb Ethernet; adaptive active cooling for whisper-quiet performance and to maintain optimal performance during heavy workloads; and an integrated NVMe SSD bay (PCIe 4×4) that supports up to 8TB at 6000MB/s.

Crafted from solid aluminum, the CubeDock is built on Intel’s new Thunderbolt 5 technology, doubling the bandwidth of previous generations to provide 80Gbps of bi-directional bandwidth and offering a new Bandwidth Boost feature to provide up to 120Gbps of transmit bandwidth, which enables triple 4K high refresh and multiple 8K displays on Windows, and dual 6K60Hz on macOS (M3/M4/M5). There are no required drivers nor DisplayLink needed: it’s just plug-and-play.

Made with a reinforced aluminum housing and a premium braided jacket, it is engineered for long-term reliability and future-proof compatibility with Thunderbolt 4, 3, and USB-C devices.

Satechi’s Thunderbolt 5 CubeDock is available for pre-order on Satechi.net for US$400 and will begin shipping Q1 2026. The Thunderbolt 5 Pro Cable is available now for US$40.
