CES 2026: Victrola Soundstage Sits Below Turntables

Victrola is known for its diverse line of turntables, including entry-level suitcase models like the Victrola Journey Glow I reviewed late last year. At CES 2026, the company is introducing a new accessory called the Victrola Soundstage, a low-profile soundbase that’s designed to sit directly under turntables and eliminate the need for separate speakers.

The Victrola Soundstage is designed to deliver high-fidelity performance for vinyl listeners from a compact, space-efficient design. It’s built to eliminate the need for separate speakers, amplifiers, and other audio components, Offering both wired and wireless connectivity, including Bluetooth and Auracast, Soundstage works seamlessly with computers, TVs, and other audio sources as well.

Soundstage is designed to isolate vibration so the system can deliver low-end performance and wide stereo imaging without disturbing the turntable. It’s made to be a fully integrated system, where cabinet architecture, driver placement, and vibration control are carefully tuned to work together to protect playback integrity while maximizing sound quality, says Victrola.

This is achieved through the inclusion of a down-firing Symmetric Drive Woofer (SDW) that features dual diaphragm technology to deliver powerful, accurate bass while canceling vibrations. It keeps the turntable steady for smooth, uninterrupted vinyl performance. That’s combined with Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) technology that delivers wide, even dispersion to create a spacious, natural stereo image.

The approach, says Victrola, was taken to solve a persistent challenge with vinyl, which is resonance. Typically, speakers vibrate, and when placed near a turntable, they can cause the stylus to move. This can create a feedback loop that introduces distortion and, in turn, harm sensitive turntable components during playback. To address this, Soundstage directs the most harmful low frequencies through the SDW and rear-facing ports, while using a low crossover point with the front-facing BMRs to keep critical midrange and high frequencies projected forward for clarity, detail, and accurate stereo imaging.

Pairing seamlessly with Victrola’s Wave and Automatic turntables, Soundstage also works with other turntables and audio sources. With Auracast, you can also wirelessly broadcast or receive to/from other compatible speakers and devices for a wider soundstage. It also has 3.5mm AUX, RCA, and USB-C along with the aforementioned Bluetooth.

The Victrola Soundstage measures 16.9 x 15.1 x 3.5 inches and will come in Walnut or Black finishes. It will be available in Summer 2026 for US$350.

Victrola Wave and Tempo Walnut finish

Additionally, Victrola also confirmed a new Walnut finish for two of its most popular products, the US$499 Wave Turntable and US$249/pr. Tempo bookshelf speakers. Both models debuted at CES 2025 and the new finish is being released in response to customer feedback.

Victrola products are distributed in Canada through Erikson Consumer.
