CES 2023: Citizen’s New CZ Smartwatches are Powered by IBM Watson

Citizen has revealed the latest innovations in its CZ line of smartwatches at CES 2023. Available in both casual and sports styles, they feature CZ Smart YouQ wellness technology powered by IBM Watson.

Set to be available in March 2023, the wearables provide a built-in self-care advisor and use machine learning to help you understand and anticipate patterns relating to fatigue and alertness. From there, you’ll get customized insights and personalized strategies to help build better habits.

This marks the first multi-year global retail license using IBM’s Watson machine learning in a consumer wearable device, and it’s combined with scientific research from NASA. The watch can do things like determine your personal Chronotype, the genetic market for preferred timing of sleep and wake, along with rhythms and habits to offer something called Power Fixes, rhythm-resetting strategies.

Receive Alert Scores via custom Alert Monitor tests, which is a consumer-facing version of NASA’s Psychomotor Vigilance Task Test, originally designed to test the cognitive acuity of astronauts. You’ll also be able to measure circadian rhythm, activity tracking, heart rate monitoring, and more.
