In a written statement to the industry, Trends Electronics has announced that Derek Collier will be retiring from the industry at the end of March. Derek Collier has been in a leadership role with Trends Electronics since 2018. He began as Director of Sales, and soon after was promoted to VP of Sales & Marketing. Derek’s strong leadership, integrity and his compassion for his team has been a great contribution to Trends.
“Many of you know Derek from his time at A&B Sound, Best Buy Canada, Audio Video Unlimited and Mitek Corporation,” stated Grant Daoust, Founder and CEO of Trends. “His successful track record speaks for itself. Derek has been a standout figure in the Canadian A/V industry throughout his career and is a true professional. His positive attitude and willingness to help anyone has always made him a strong part of every team.”
Derek will be missed by all of us as a colleague and a close friend. He will continue in his current capacity until the end of March and will assist Trends with special projects and events in the future.
