Dynabook Americas, Inc. has introduced its E11 series of Windows 11 Pro laptops, designed for K-12 education.
The laptops will be available in traditional clamshell or 2-in-1 configurations and offer significant upgrades over the previous generation E10 series. This includes an upgraded processor via Intel N100 and N200 (versus a Celeron N4020), faster memory with LPDDR5 (versus DDR4), and Wi-Fi 6e technology. There’s an optional touch screen as well as a new convertible 2-in-1 form factor with a camera and smart pen optimized for Windows Ink.
Equipped with an 11.6-inch HD display, high-res UXGA webcam, stereo speakers, and beam-forming dual mics, the computers are ideal for collaboration and remote school scenarios. They are designed to be durable for kids to take with them to class as well, with rubber bumpers, mechanically anchored keys, and spill-resistant keyboards.
Each one has a variety of ports, including HDMI, USB, and LAN, and includes Bluetooth connectivity as well for connecting things like wireless headphones. Additionally, each features a USB-C port that allows students to connect a display or other accessories and charge the laptop or other peripherals. Each E11 features a high-capacity battery that Dynabook says can last through a full school day.
Loaded with Windows 11 Pro Education, kids can seamlessly run locally installed and web apps. There’s seamless Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams integration, while Intune for Education simplifies device management, designed specifically for education.
In the two clamshell configurations, the E11-A1221ED comes with a standard 11.6-inch HD display, while the E11-A2221ED features a touch-enabled 11.6-inch HD display, priced at US$299 and US$319, respectively.
For 2-in-1 convertible configurations, the E11W-A3221ED offers an 11.6-inch IPS multi-touch display for US$349, while the E11W-A4221ED includes the same multi-touch display, and adds an exclusive smart pen and Windows Ink support for US$419 (chassis includes charging garage for the smart pen).
The Dynabook E11 Series will be available for pre-order March 1, 2024, with delivery in time for the 2024-2025 school year.
