Epson is expanding its line of EcoTank all-in-one printers with two new models, the EcoTank ET-3950 and EcoTank ET-4950. Both offer a new modern design and refillable ink designs with a two-year supply in the box to get you started, and are suitable for both families and small and home offices.
Each replacement ink bottle set, which can last up to three years depending on your printing needs, is equivalent to about 80 individual cartridges. This is not only convenience and eliminates frequent recurring costs, it also eliminates cartridge waste. It’s simple to refill ink using the dedicated ink tanks and uniquely keyed EcoFit bottles.

Powered by PrecisionCore Heat-free technology, the new printers feature unique permanent printheads engineered to last the life of the printer. They both offer fast 18 black/9 colour ISO pages-per-minute (ppm) print speeds with zero warmup time, an Auto Document Feeder, a high-capacity 250-sheet paper tray, auto duplex printing and scanning, and a 2.4″ colour display for easy navigation.
They feature built-in USB and Apple AirPrint connectivity, plus qualification under the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Agile Multiband standard that assures a seamless wireless experience. With the user-friendly Epson Smart Panel app, you can easily print, scan, and more directly from a connected mobile devices. The ET-4950 adds fax capabilities and a larger touchscreen compared to the previous generation ET-4850, which I reviewed last year and named among my favourite tech products of 2024.
The EcoTank ET-3950 comes in white and is available for an MSRP of US$420 while the EcoTank ET-4950, available in both black or white, is $599 in Canada.
