Following the success of the FiiO Echo Mini and Nano players, the company has launched the FiiO Snowsky Disc, a minimalist sound system that functions as a dual audio DAC that pairs with in-ear or over-ear headphones to provide an improved listening experience.
One of the most distinctive features of the Snowsky Disc is its circular touch screen, which fuses retro aesthetics with intuitive, modern control. The display supports album cover artwork and lyrics and can be used with the FiiO control smartphone app.

The interface is clean, responsive, and designed to keep app distractions to a minimum, allowing listeners to stay focused on the music itself. You can also stream music via Wi-Fi thanks to AirPlay features. Despite its compact form, the Snowsky Disc supports microSD expansion up to 2TB so you can store a big collection of high-resolution music to play locally and offline versus streaming. Connectivity includes dual headphone outputs: 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced.
For wireless listening, LDAC high-definition Bluetooth ensures high-quality audio transmission to compatible headphones and speakers. Built-in Wi-Fi enables additional functionality, including firmware updates, ensuring the Snowsky Disc can evolve with future software improvements.

The Snowsky Disc also doubles as a versatile digital hub. With USB DAC features and USB audio output, it can seamlessly integrate with laptops and phones as well as your hi-fi or wireless speakers. For more traditional setups, an SPDIF output allows easy connection to home DACs and amplifiers. Additionally, the Snowsky Disc supports retro sound effects so you can explore different sonic flavours inspired by classic audio gear.
With up to 12 hours of continuous playback, the Snowsky Disc is built to last through long commutes and extended listening sessions.
The FiiO Snowsky Disc launches in January and will retail for approximately US$80.
