Focal has introduced two new UL-certified in-ceiling speakers, the 100 IC8-T UL and 100 ICS6-T UL, both of which are designed for large public spaces like luxury hotels and high-end restaurants.
The fire-resistant in-ceiling loudspeakers feature two coaxial drivers and a medium/woofer and tweeter, and deliver clear and powerful sound with reduced “shower effect” for considerable coverage, says the company.
They meet UL 1480 and UL2043 fire certifications for international fire safety, alarm, and protection standards. Integrated metal enclosure provide increases robustness and optimum protection. The flush-mounted enclosure is designed using materials specially adapted to very high temperatures. It ensures the safety of the installation and provides sound insulation. Front-mounted air vents, meanwhile, provide improved low-frequency reproduction.
A Euroblock 4-pole input terminal block affords simplified, secure installation, while a C-ring tile bridge suspended ceiling mounting kit is an option for a more secure, stable, and flexible installation.
They are both compatible with Naim CI Series electronics to ensure optimum technical and sound compatibility in a Focal & Naim ecosystem.
The Focal 100 ICS6-T UL is available in Canada for $699 and the 100 IC8-T UL for $829.
The Focal 100-T Series has seven different loudspeakers for all integration needs and are available now, including these two new models as well as three in-ceiling products (the 100 ICW5-T, 100 ICW6-T and 100 ICW8-T) and two IP66-certified outdoor loudspeakers, the 100 OD6-T and 100 OD8-T, which are available in black or white.
