Google Pixel 10 Pro

The Google Pixel 10 Series is Here, and it’s a Pretty Significant Upgrade

The Google Pixel 10 family of phones is here, and they mark a fairly significant upgrade from the previous generation devices. At the heart of all the devices is an amped up AI experience with exciting new features.

The Design and Specs

Google Pixel 10

The phones are designed with the camera bar seamlessly integrated into the device. Made from premium durable spacecraft-grade aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, there are new wallpaper effects, a refined app UI, and a new modern notification shade. They meet an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.

Each phone is powered by the new Google Tensor G5 chip, which facilitates the most advanced on-device AI processing for a Pixel device to date. This also ensures a smoother experience and makes all the new AI features possible (see below for what these are).

An interesting new inclusion is Pixelsnap, magnetic technology built into the phone you can use to snap on wireless accessories like chargers, stands, and grips without needing a case. This is enabled through Qi2 inclusion, making the Pixel 10 series one of the first to include Qi2 baked in versus offering support for it with a compatible case. Use the feature with the new Pixelsnap Charger to enjoy quick and efficient Qi2 wireless charging. Google has a wide range of new Pixelsnap accessories you can use with all three phones, but the feature will also work with other certified ones from Made for Google partners.

All new phones will receive seven years of Pixel Drops and OS and security updates. Now, let’s dive into each phone and what makes them different from one another and previous gen models.

New Google AI Features

Google Pixel 9a

Google AI on Pixel includes features like being able to connect to Maps to find locations nearby, then text the location to members of your friend or family group. You can ask Gemini to add the reservation to a calendar and even prompt you when you should head out in order to make it on time based on traffic. This can all happen using Gemini Live for natural, hands-free conversations.

You can also share your camera in Gemini Live to converse about what you’re seeing in front of you. At launch, the Google Pixel 10 Pro phones will come with a one-year subscription to the Google Pixel AI Pro plan.

Magic Cue is a new feature designed to anticipate your needs and suggest relevant information to help. It could be calling up your flight details while you’re on hold with the airline or bringing up the address of the Airbnb you’re at when a friend messages you asking for it. It’s all powered by the new Google Tensor G5 chip.

When it comes to photos, there are new AI editing tools. Camera Coach, powered by Gemini, reads the scene and offers suggestions to help you adjust the angle and lighting, even use the right photo capture mode. There’s also Auto Best Take now, which automatically finds and combines similar photos into one where everyone looks their best. The popular Add Me feature has also been improved so you can add the photographer to bigger groups.
