LG is bringing its sleek and lightweight gram laptop line-up to Canada, targeting small and medium-sized businesses.
The LG gram was introduced at CES 2020 in Las Vegas earlier this year. Dubbed the “world’s lightest” 17″ laptop, it also comes in 14″ and 15.6″ configurations, each with an ultra-thin 0.7″ bezel and weighing under three pounds. They each come in a dark silver finish with an impressive 18.5 hours of battery life per charge.
The 14″ and 15.6″ models come with either Intel Core i5 or i7 processors up to 1.3GHz with turbo speeds up to 3.9GHz, up to 16GB of DDR4 ram, and up to 1TB of solid-state hard drive storage. Each model has a Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 LG IPS LCD, 1.5-watt stereo speakers, and offers one UFS/microSD, one HDMI, one USB-C, and multiple USB 3.1 ports. Also included is an HD webcam, 3.5mm headphone port, backlit keyboard, and fingerprint ID access. The 14″ models has a 72Wh battery, while the 15″ models have an 80Wh pack.
Additionally, the gram laptops feature Thunderbolt 3 Power Delivery (PD) that allows for using an external display and/or peripherals without a power outlet. Constructed with a nano-carbon magnesium alloy frame, they pass seven MIL-STD-810G tests, which means they are resistant to shock, vibration, dust, and extreme temperatures.
The larger 17″ version is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor running at 1.3GHz with 3.9GHz available in turbo, offers up to 1TB of solid state storage, 16GB of DDR4 ram, and an 80Wh battery that delivers up to 17 hours of use. The LG IPS screens feature enhanced 2,560 x 1,600 WQXGA resolution. Ports include microSD, USB-C, USB 3.1, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
LG gram for business laptops are available through distribution. In celebration of Small Business Month, LG is providing Value Added Resellers (VAR) with a $100 credit on Distribution account for every unit purchased. Terms and conditions apply.
