McIntosh MX124 Features Dirac Live Room Correction and Bass Control

Dirac has announced that its Dirac Live Room Correction and Dirac Live Bass Control solutions will be available in the new McIntosh MX124 A/V Processor, bringing advanced room acoustics optimization to McIntosh’s latest high-performance home theatre device.

Designed for premium home cinema environments, the MX124 combines McIntosh’s audio engineering with Dirac’s room correction solutions to deliver “more accurate, immersive, and balanced sound reproduction across a wide range of listening spaces,” says the company.

Dirac Live Room Correction addresses both magnitude and phase distortions introduced by the listening environment, improving clarity, imaging, bass response, and overall tonal balance. Dirac Live Bass Control further enhances low-frequency performance by intelligently optimizing subwoofer integration throughout the room, delivering tighter, more consistent bass across multiple seating positions.

The McIntosh MX124 is a multi-channel processor supporting configurations up to 13.4 channels and includes support for Dirac Live Room Correction and Dirac Live Bass Control out of the box. The processor also offers extensive connectivity options, including HDMI, digital, balanced analog, and unbalanced analog inputs, alongside Bluetooth and streaming support.
