Monitor Audio has released a new range of custom install speaker back boxes to be used with the Creator Series and other Monitor Audio custom install ranges. The MDF back boxes are fully sealed and engineered to provide an ideal air load for the speaker drivers, optimizing mid-range and bass performance while maintaining sonic consistency regardless of interior wall construction. The back boxes are intended to enhance audio quality and enhance sound isolation between rooms and floors.
The three back boxes are: CSM-BOX – $140 – (available mid-February) / CML-BOX – $200 – (available mid-February) / WM-BOX – $180 – (available mid-May).
The CSM-BOX is designed to install speakers from Monitor Audio’s Creator Series, AWC Series and other CI ranges into the ceiling and replaces the now discontinued CMBOX. The CSM-BOX comes with small and medium ring (fitted) adapters, which can also be removed and is compatible with the following speakers: C1S, C2S, C1M, C2M, C2M-T2X, C2M-CP, C3M, CSS230, C165, AWC265, AWC265-T2
The CML-BOX is designed to install speakers from Monitor Audio’s Creator Series, AWC Series and other CI ranges into the ceiling is compatible with the following speakers: C3M, C1L, C2L, C2L-T2X, C2L-CP, C3L, C3L-CP, C3L-A, CSS230, C180, AWC265, AWC265-T2, AWC280, AWC280-T2
The WM-BOX is designed to install speakers from Monitor Audio’s Creator Series into the wall. Compatible speakers include: W1M, W1M-E, W2M, W2M-CP, W3M
