Motorola Brings Three New Razr Flip Phones to Market Next Month

Motorola has introduced its latest Razr family of flip phones including the Razr Ultra, Razr+, and Razr. All three boast smart experiences via AI, fashionable designs, improved performance, and camera upgrades over their predecessors.

All three phones incorporate advanced moto ai features like Catch Me Up, Pay Attention, and Remember This. Using the external display, you can get recommendations in real time. Next Move, for example, recognizes what’s on the screen, like a new recipe or trip itinerary, and offers suggestions for next steps. That might be saving important details, generating a cooking-themed playlist with Playlist Studio, or tapping into Image Studio for an image, avatar, wallpaper, or sticker, inspired by an upcoming trip. With Smart Connect with AI, pull up these items with a voice or text command like “show me this on my TV,” and stream to a TV, mirror to a PC or tablet, or launch a multitasking hub.

The top-line Motorola Razr has a dedicated AI Key for easily accessing moto ai from any app. When it’s in stand or tent mode, you can use it handsfree and have moto ai answer questions, summarize notifications, or transcribe conversations just by looking at the screen.

In addition to moto ai, the phones include Gemini and Gemini Live for assistance with writing, problem solving, or creative planning, both when the device is open or closed.

The Motorola Razr Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, making it the most powerful flip phone available right now. It also has a dedicated on-device AI engine. The Motorola Razr+, meanwhile, runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform while the Motorola Razr comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 7400X processor.

With a focus on style and design, the Motorola Razr Ultra comes in four finishes, including luxe satin-inspired and durable leather-inspired. For the first time, you can also get it with Italian-made Alcantara, the same material used in products like Louis Vuitton handbags. There’s also a version constructed with FSC-certified wood. Each material is paired with a specially curated Pantone Colour: Scarab, Mountain Trail, Cabaret, or Rio Red.

The Motorola Razr+ comes in Midnight Blue, Hot Pink, and Pantone’s 2025 Colour of the Year, Mocha Mousse. Each one is made with a non-slip, leather-inspired finish. For the Motorola Razr, choose from durable leather-inspired, nylon-inspired, or a lightweight Acetate finish, with colour options in Pantone Gibraltar Sea, Spring Bud, Lightest Sky, and Parfait Pink.

The phones all boast a new titanium-reinforced hinge plate that Motorola says is four times stronger than surgical-grade stainless steel and designed to withstand up to 35% more folds than the previous generation. The new hinge, paired with ultra-thin glass, creates a smoother display, as well. The phones are engineered with minimal gaps and integrated brush filters, and all meet IP48 specifications for dust- and water-resistance. For added protection against scratches and scuffs, the Motorola Razr Ultra boasts the toughest external display of any razr, offering 10 times better drop performance with Corning Gorilla Glass-Ceramic.

The Motorola Razr Ultra and Motorola Razr+ have 4-inch external screens while the Razr has a 3.6-inch outside screen. You can customize the screen using dedicated panels for things like contact information, streaming music details, communications apps, weather apps, and more.

When you flip the open, the Motorola Razr Ultra has a massive 7-inch inner pOLED Pantone-validated screen. Orient the phones in Flex View positions for tripod-style photos, gesture controls, hands-free selfies and group shots, external previews for framing a photo, a camcorder mode, and more.

In terms of the cameras, the Motorola Razr Ultra has a triple 50MP camera system, powered by moto ai. There’s an ultra-wide lens and high-resolution Super Zoom for capturing more. Dolby Vision helps you produce cinema-quality video.

On the new Motorola Razr+, you’ll find a 50MP high-res camera with 32 times more focusing pixels for faster, more accurate results. Zoom in from afar without sacrificing image quality thanks to a 50MP telephoto lens. With the Motorola Razr, you also get a 50MP camera system and 13MP ultra-wide and Macro Vision lens.

Leveraging Moto ai, photos benefit from the AI-powered Photo Enhancement Engine that automatically delivers improved dynamic range, reduced noise, and finer details. Signature Style uses AI to learn your preferences based on the pictures you choose, then automatically adjusts photos to ensure they align with your personal aesthetic. On the motorola razr+ and motorola razr, adaptive stabilization lets you take stable videos in any condition, even in a moving vehicle.

Features you’ll find specifically in the Motorola Razr Ultra include Group Shot, which automatically captures multiple frames within a second, seamlessly blending them together to ensure everyone has their eyes open for frameable shots; Action Shot that helps you get blur-free photos of subjects on the move, adjusting the shutter speed automatically based on different lighting conditions; and Air Gesture for snapping photos and controlling video recording without touching the display. Use simple hand gestures to start, stop, and pause video recording.

Able to last all day, the Motorola Razr Ultra delivers over 36 hours of battery life on a single charge with a massive 4700mAh battery. Its Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform has a dedicated AI processing engine that boosts performance without compromising on power efficiency. Get power for the entire day in just eight minutes with 68W TurboPower charging. There’s also 30W wireless charging or share power with other devices using reverse charging.

The Motorola Razr+ has a 4,000mAh battery that provides power for the day in just 12 minutes with 45W TurboPower charging.
