Canadian distribution company Gentec International, has announced that the company has won Onkyo’s Distributor of the Year Award for 2021. The award was presented by Tommy Jacobs , SVP Sales and Marketing at Premium Audio Company, owner of the Onkyo brand worldwide to Joel Seigel, President and CEO of Gentec International, and to Dick Tuerlings, Managing Director, Gentec Audio Division, while on a visit to the Premium Audio Company headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Onkyo Corporation is a Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer, specializing in premium home cinema and audio equipment, including AV receivers, surround sound speakers, and portable devices. Gentec International entered into an exclusive distribution partnership with Onkyo in October 2020. Onkyo has recognized that Gentec has worked to establish a solid support network for the Onkyo brand including dealer training, sales representative training, as well as inventory and logistics management.
“For 2022, we look forward to partnering with Onkyo in a strategic fashion to ensure continued growth of the brand in Canada. In addition, we look forward the release of new 8K-compatible products in the coming months,” stated Mr. Tuerlings.
