Plugable has launched the Plugable USB-C 6-Port Priority Charger (PS-6CC), a USB-C-only six-port charger designed to work with the USB-C power supply you already own.
Built with Plugable’s proprietary PriorityShare technology, the PS-6CC intelligently distributes power to up to six connected devices while maintaining fast and efficient charging, making it ideal for home, office, and business environments, says the company.
Where traditional multi-port chargers often rely on bulky proprietary power bricks, the PS-6CC introduces a smarter, leaner solution. By using any USB-C power supply rated from 18W to 100W, you can reduce packaging waste and e-waste associated with unnecessary duplicate power adapters.
Following the success of the PS-10CC, Plugable’s 10-port USB-C charger, the PS-6CC offers a more compact option for those who don’t need quite as many ports but still want the same intelligence and sustainability, since there’s no included power supply to reduce e-waste. The slimmer six-port configuration is ideal for desks, classrooms, or mobile setups.
PriorityShare is a patented smart-charging system that senses real-time current needs and prioritizes power distribution from left to right. Devices plugged into the leftmost ports receive power first, ensuring laptops, tablets, or other high-priority gear get charged immediately. As those devices reach full charge, power is automatically reallocated to the next devices in line, optimizing charging efficiency across the board without throttling performance.
