Intuit has announced the launch of QuickBooks Online Advanced in Canada, cloud-based accounting software that is designed for more complex, growing businesses.
“As small businesses expand,” says Intuit, “they need to get more done faster, but an increase in bookkeeping and repetitive tasks can eat up their time. As a result, they are faced with a lack of affordable business solutions and often adopt software that is both expensive and too complex for their needs.
QuickBooks Online Advanced includes a number of features designed for small businesses that are growing and have increased needs and complexity in their accounting. With the software, business owners can track business performance using the Performance Centre. This includes tracing the insights they care about most with custom charts, dashboards, and layouts. You can also add and compare metrics to understand how you’re growing.
Using the Custom Roles feature, you can control who can and can’t see sensitive data. Create user access by transaction types, like sales and expenses, and specific capabilities, like banking, inventory, payroll, reports, and account management. This, says Intuit, can help boost productivity to support growth when delegating work.
With Enhanced Custom Fields, small business owners in Canada can track the little things to get the big picture. You can also create more detailed reports with drop down menus, date selection, and multiple field types, including up to 12 fields per form. Search, sort, and filter the data you need much more quickly and efficiently.
The software can be used to track income and expenses, sales and sales tax; capture and organize receipts; track mileage automatically; run reports; invoice and accept payments; progress invoicing; maximize tax deductions; send estimates; manage bills and payments, track time; track project profitability and inventory; create and manage budgets; and restore and backup data. With a subscription, you get access for up to 25 users with the ability to customize access by role, multi-currency support, custom reporting fields, and unlimited classes and locations. It also includes three accountant seats and premium support.
QuickBooks Online Advanced can be downloaded for a 30-day trial period after which it is regularly $140/mo., now on sale for half price at $70/mo. Add QuickBooks Payroll for an additional $20/mo. plus $4/mo. per employee per month.
