Samsung has launched its new Galaxy S25 Series phones at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Jose, CA. This includes the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, all three of which will be available for pre-order soon.
The three phones boast new intelligence features, making them the most AI-centric phones in the Galaxy line to date. Cross App Action allows you to long-press the power button to open Gemini. Speak your command and AI will handle the rest. Now Brief shows AI-powered insights of your sleep, weather, and tells you your daily schedule. Auto Suggestions will suggest things you can do to be more productive, like turning on your smart washing machine based on your usual routine, or turning on maps to help you navigate to a destination. There’s also Multimodal Search you can use to search in new ways, like humming the tune of a song you don’t remember.

There are also new ways to create with these phones. Use Audio Eraser to remove background noise and conversations in videos to isolate and distinguish the sound you want to hone-in on. Leverage Auto Trim to remove unnecessary footage like “ums” and blank spaces in a video. You can also use keywords to help AI know which clips or sound bites can be trimmed from a video.
The One UI 7 Android overlay found in the Galaxy S25 series phones is an AI companion designed to understand context and offer personalized AI experiences. As a shared vision with Google, you can enjoy features like Circle to Search, which now also recognizes phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and URLs on screen.
The phones are powered by a Personal Data Engine, which safely analyzes data on the devices to deliver personalized experiences. This includes features like the aforementioned Now Brief as well as the Now Bar, which appears on the lock screen. All personalized data is kept private and secured by Knox Vault.
There’s also a new post-quantum cryptography feature that safeguards personal data against threats. Other safety features include an updated Auto Blocker, Maximum Restrictions settings, enhanced Theft Protection, and a new Knox Matrix dashboard to monitor the security status across a connected device ecosystem.

All three phones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, which Samsung says delivers a 40% NPU performance boost, 37% in CPU, and 30% in GPU compared to the previous generation. This means the phone can process more AI experiences on-device without relying on the cloud, even for tasks like Generative Edit.
The processor also allows for features like ProScaler on the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra models that achieve improvements in image quality. The Vulkan Engine and improved Ray Tracing, meanwhile, affords a smoother and more realistic gaming experience. A larger vapor chamber further dissipates heat for better thermal efficiency.
