Satechi Pro Hub Slim Expands Connectivity for MacBooks, Including the New M2 Models

Satechi has added a new accessory to its Pro Hub series, the Pro Hub Slim, which is designed to expand the capabilities of the latest MacBook Pro M2 models as well as others from 2017 models and beyond.

Joining the Pro Hub Max and Pro Hub Mini, the Pro Hub Slim acts as an extension to the latest

M2 MacBooks, featuring a full function USB4 port, 4K HDMI, USB-C data, two USB-A data, as well as SD and microSD card readers. All the ports are housed in a single hub, allowing for both increased data transfer speeds and the ability to extend the workspace.

The seven ports are designed to act as a natural extension to the laptop. The two USB-A data ports support up to 10 Gbps data transfer speeds, while the 4K HDMI port for dual display supports up to 60Hz. SD and microSD card slots support UHS-I data transfer speeds (up to 104

MB/s). The USB4 pass-through port, meanwhile, supports up to 100W charging, up to 6K/60Hz video output, and 40 Gbps data transfer speeds, and the USB-C data port supports up to 10 Gbps data transfer speeds.

With a plug and play design, the Pro Hub Slim can be easily attached to the M2 MacBooks, but it also works with any MacBook from 2017 or later to expand ports and accessibility without any additional drivers or installation necessary.

The hub is available in Midnight, Space Grey, or Silver colours to match the MacBook colours. It sells for US$80.
