Savant Adds New Inception Shades, Designed by J Geiger

Savant is expanding its Inception shades line with a new models designed by J Geiger. Inception shades are exposed roller shades designed like custom built, and that afford easy installation, says the company.

Unlike most motorized shading solutions that require a custom-built valance or facia, shades designed by J Geiger feature a minimalist profile. More than a decade ago, J Geiger introduced its R-Series custom built line and these new Inception shades expand upon that vision, allowing for a minimalist profile even when the location of related wiring is imprecise.

Savant’s Inception and R-Series shade line-ups include sleek aluminum hardware finished in silver, black, and now white, with 600+ fabric options to choose from available in translucent, sheer, or blackout. Homeowners can select wired or wireless motorization as well as a fully manual option.

Savant has launched a new, intuitive design tool platform that enables dealers to design and quote lighting control and shades simultaneously within the same project, complete with installation documentation. Using easy step-by-step prompts, dealers can name each room, input the shade measurements, and access Savant’s fabric library, ensuring that the proper parts are included with each order. They can also add-to-cart in total or by installation phase, making it easy to use the project summary as both a quoting and ordering tool.

There are four options for the Inception shades. The Inception shades powered and controlled by wired motors can be integrated with voice-controlled hubs and home automation ecosystems. Savant Inception and R-Series shades are compatible with all major control systems, and custom installers can apply to become an authorized dealer of Savant’s shading solutions.

Shades with RF motors are wired for power and controlled wirelessly via RF (radio frequency signal). They can be fully integrated or linked to a stand-alone keypad, remote, or voice-controlled hub.

Models with rechargeable RF motors come with wire-free, battery-powered motors are long-lasting (up to a year) and easy to charge. The motor and shade remain intact while charging, and the cord connects easily thanks to a convenient magnetic port. Wire-free motors can be fully integrated or linked to a stand-alone keypad, remote, or voice-controlled hub.

Finally, there are manual shades that come with traditional chain pulls, are ideal for budget conscious rooms and tight spaces where a motor may not fit.
