Hearing aids brand Signia has launched its new Active Pro IX high-tech hearing device, and they’re now available in Canada.
Signia notes that a large percentage of both men and women suffer from some form of hearing loss, yet not many are willing to admit it. This may largely be due to stigma around hearing loss as well as a general version to traditional hearing aids. The idea behind this product is to device a stylish product that those with hearing loss can feel cool and comfortable wearing.
It’s an instant-fit rechargeable solution powered by Signia’s Integrated Xperience platform, which features RealTime Conversation Enhancement technology. Those suffering from mild to moderate hearing loss can wear them to hear better, even in noisy environments.
They are designed to resemble traditional earbuds but offer the benefits of prescription-grade hearing aids.
“Whenever people think of hearing devices, they think of the bulky, unattractive hearing aids that our grandparents used to wear,” says Michèle Dostaler, Head of Product at Signia. “Our goal with the new Active Pro IX model is to break down this longstanding stigma with discreet and cool designs that empower hearing-impaired individuals to reconnect to the conversation and enjoy their lives again, without anyone knowing they’re wearing a hearing device.”
The earbuds come with various ear tip sizes and with a portable charger that provides a total 29-hour runtime, including five hours of streaming. Get up to eight hours of listening after a 30-minute charge.
They feature Bluetooth LE audio and afford hands-free calling for iPhone and Android devices. With some Android phones, you can also leverage tap to answer with CallControl. The buds are IP68 certified for water- and dust resistance, and comes in black, rose gold, white, or brown. They are sold through independent hearing clinics.
