The SwitchBot AI-enabled Art Frame, which was first shown at IFA 2025, is now officially available. The AI-powered Color E-Ink Art Frame, powered by NanoBanana, allows you to display living art and your own digital creativity in the home.
Available in various frame size, including 7.3-, 13.3-, and 31.5-inch options, along with bundles, it uses E-Ink Spectra 6 technology that mimics the texture and depth of real artwork with oil painting-like colour layers and a paper-like finish. The display is glare-free, backlight-free, and easy on the eyes, offering the look of a true painting in any lighting condition, says SwitchBot.
Through the SwitchBot app, you can upload, organize, and refresh content daily, storing up to 10 pictures locally or syncing new pictures. You can display the images in either portrait or landscape mode on your desk, bedroom, shelf, or even mounted on the wall on its own or as part of a wall gallery.
Using the AI Studio function, powered by NanoBanana, you can also generate original AI artwork to display, or modify existing pictures using AI Art Prompt or AI Art Remix technology. With the AI Art Prompt function, input textual prompts, standalone or combined with visual assets, to create new artwork. You can even transform uploaded doodles into new artistic expressions.
Meanwhile, with AI Art Remix, you can transform photos or sketches into pieces resembling oil paintings, watercolours, or even anime-inspired art. A 30-day free trial offers up to 400 generations per month, after which the subscription plan is US$4/mo.
The AI Art Frame features a built-in 2,000mAh battery lasting up to two years per charge (based on image change once a week). It consumes power only when changing content and includes no visible cables, preserving the appearance of a traditional framed painting. Constructed from premium aluminum alloy, the frame is swappable to match interior styles.
The SwitchBot AI Art Frame is available in Canada for an MSRP starting at $200 for the small 7.3-inch frame up to $1,700 for the 31.5-inch model.
