Burnaby, BC-based Trends Electronics International Inc., a distributor of residential, commercial, and mobile/marine products in Canada, has announced two new appointments. Karem Banna as shareholder and Senior Vice President and Derek Collier to Vice President of Sales & Marketing for all Commercial, Mobile, and Residential divisions across Canada.
Banna had previously worked as Eastern Canadian sales manager and national director of the Mobile Division at Trends. He most recently worked as director of customer and commercial divisions for ELAC Americas Inc.

Banna’s key responsibilities will be to lead the sales, marketing, and operations departments for Trends in the Canadian market.

Derek Collier, meanwhile, has also been appointed as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the commercial, mobile, and residential divisions across Canada. With Trends for the last two years as director of sales, Collier has helped the company consistently drive revenue and profit growth, along with increases market share, says Daoust. He previously has experience working with A&B Sound, AVU, and Mitek.
