Zoho Corporation has launched Canadian versions of its tools to support small businesses and sole proprietors: the easy-to-use payroll solution Zoho Payroll, the point-of-sale system Zoho POS, and Zoho Solo for independent professionals.
Zoho Payroll

The Canadian edition of Zoho Payroll provides a comprehensive solution designed to automate payroll processing while complying with federal and provincial and territorial regulations. The solution helps businesses manage federal and provincial statutory deductions including income tax, Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Quebec Pension Plan (QPP), Employer Insurance (EI), Quebec Parental Insurance Plan (QPIP), Health Services Fund. It also handles multi-province pay runs, variable vacation pay, employee benefits, and tracks workers’ compensation as per regulations.
The application also supports Record of Employment (ROE) reporting required whenever there are interruptions in earnings, simplifying employer submissions to Service Canada. Businesses can generate T4 slips and summaries, RL-1 slips, and summaries for filing with the CRA and Revenue Quebec, respectively.
With the employee self-service portal available on iOS and Android devices, employees can securely view pay stubs, benefits, contributions, salary breakdown and also download their pay stubs anytime. Seamlessly integrated with Zoho Books and Zoho Expense, Zoho Payroll automates accounting entries, and ease expense reimbursements.
Zoho POS

For retail businesses, Zoho POS is the modern, customizable, point-of-sale software where businesses can manage all store operations. It has essential features like advanced inventory management, price management, multi-outlet and warehouse management, and intuitive retail analytics.
The platform also allows businesses to connect to billing peripherals such as barcode scanners, cash drawers, customer-facing displays, weighing machines, and pole displays.
It offers tight integrations within the Zoho ecosystem to help manage other aspects of a business, including Zoho Books for accounting, Zoho CRM for customer relationships (coming soon), Zoho Commerce for eCommerce, Zoho payroll for payroll management, and more.
Zoho POS is fully compliant with Canada’s taxation system, supporting GST, PST, HST, and QST across provinces. Bilingual billing interfaces are offered in 10+ languages, including English and French support for Canadian businesses.
Zoho POS can work across multiple devices, including mobile phones and tablets, allowing a business to work from anywhere along with multi-store management to handle store locations across provinces. Features like advanced price management and promotional management (beta) help businesses create strategies to win and retain customers, says Zoho.
Zoho Solo

Zoho Solo is a unified application that enables “solopreneurs” to perform essential business functions such as client management, expense tracking, invoicing, payments, task management, and reporting, all from within a single solution while also offering built-in AI capabilities. The platform is mobile-first and completely optimized for iPads and Android tablets.
To deliver a truly localized experience, Zoho Solo has been fully optimized for Canadian operations by supporting the Canadian dollar, being compliant with local tax regulations, and is available in multiple languages including Canadian French. Zoho Solo is also hosted out of the Canada Data Center, ensuring compliance with local data security and privacy laws.
All products are immediately available, meant to support Zoho’s growth across Canada. The company reports a more than a 50% increase in customers along with more than doubling its number of Canadian employees in the last year.
“According to the BDC, 99.8 per cent of businesses in Canada are SMEs,” says Chandrashekar LSP, Managing Director of Zoho Canada. “We see potential in supporting this vibrant ecosystem from solo entrepreneurs to established enterprises with tools built and localized specifically for the Canadian moment. We want to ensure that every business, regardless of size, has access to powerful, easy-to-use software that helps them operate, grow, and compete globally.”
Zoho designs and incorporates artificial intelligence guided by customer privacy and value. The generic AI models across contextual, assistive, and agentic AI are not trained on consumer data and do not retain customer information. Zoho does not have an ad-revenue model in any part of its business, including its free products. The company owns and operates its data centres, ensuring complete oversight of customer data, privacy, and security.
