NordPass Now Allows Storing Documents in the Encrypted Vault

Password manager NordPass, developed by the team behind NordVPN, now enables individual users to store documents like IDs, driver’s licenses, passports, and more, in an encrypted vault. The new feature also allows you to set important reminders regarding the documents, including expiration dates of essential physical documents.

“People struggle to securely store and manage their physical documents, such as passports, driver’s licenses, and ID cards,” says Chandra Challa, Head of Core Product at NordPass. “These essential documents are often misplaced, hard to access when needed, or forgotten until they expire, leading to missed renewals and unnecessary stress. With the new update, we are helping our users to fix this issue by providing a safe, encrypted, and easy-to-use vault within the NordPass application.”

The new feature allows you to easily upload scans, images, or other file types and create custom fields to capture and store key details for quick reference. All the documents in the vault are encrypted with the XChaCha20 solution and are accessible across devices integrated into the NordPass ecosystem.

The ability to set reminders is a handy tool helping you to stay ahead of expiration or renewal dates. Notifications are delivered via e-mail and there are also in-app alerts.

In addition to individual users, families can also securely store and organize essential physical documents, like marriage certificates, birth certificates, insurance papers, and more, in one centralized location within the NordPass application. You can also easily add and manage documentation for children.
