Motorized window coverings and outdoor shading solutions company Shade Innovations (SI), which is owned by Screen Innovations, has announced its new 1,000W Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch.
The new Switch is engineered for demanding environments, including smart buildings, AV automation platforms, surveillance systems, and large-scale commercial installations. It delivers high-performance power and integrated efficiency. Unlike other PoE switches that rely on bulky external power supplies, SI points out that the 1K PoE features a silent, cool-running onboard power system.
PoE-connected shades using this switch integrate seamlessly with automation platforms like Crestron, Control4, Savant, and others, enabling centralized IP-based control, automation, and remote access.
The 1m000 Watts of total PoE Power supports high-demand devices like motorized shades, access points, IP cameras, and more across multiple ports. You get full Gigabit performance, maintaining fast, reliable network speeds, even under load. It powers 90 watts per port (up to eight ports) or 30 watts for all 24 ports. It’s also easy to install in minutes with a simple plug & play set-up, and works seamlessly with standard PoE and PoE+ devices. The shade-safe design features advanced ESD protection to safeguard connected motors and devices. It also works with the Shade Innovations IP Gateway and all SI motors.
