Control and automation company RTI has introduced its ISR-AB Advanced Base, a remote charging base with a built-in Wi-Fi access point, programmable control buttons, and a Find-My-Remote feature.
In addition to charging RTI’s ISR remotes, the Advanced Base serves as a dedicated Wi-Fi access point for a fast connection. The three fully programmable buttons can be used to control custom scenes or frequently used room functions without having to lift the remote from the base. With the Find-My-Remote feature, you can simply touch a button on the base to trigger an audible alert from the remote.
Employing a stylish design, there’s a subtle LED light ring illuminates in set colours, corresponding to different modes of operation. RTI says it’s the perfect complement for the ISR-4 remote, which has a four-inch touchscreen for a smartphone-like experience, or ISR-2 remotes with smaller 2.8-inch touchscreens and numeric keypads. Both offer real-time haptic feedback for tactile responsiveness. Both remotes, which were introduced at CEDIA Expo earlier this month, include Wi-Fi, built-in accelerometers, ambient light sensors that automatically adjust display brightness, and smart power management for 4-5 days battery life per charge.
