Bluesound Adds Apple Music as a Recognized Streaming Service

Bluesound, the wireless multi-room audio brand, today announces support for Apple Music across its line of wireless speakers, stereo components, and soundbars. Available in the latest version of BluOS, Apple Music joins many popular streaming services directly integrated in the BluOS Controller app, giving Bluesound customers another way to enjoy the music they love in every room of the home.

For existing Apple Music subscribers, getting started on Bluesound is as simple as signing in. Log in with the BluOS Controller app to listen to Apple Music on any Bluesound Player. An Apple Music subscription is required.

“Bluesound has always been about music discovery and the freedom to enjoy their music their way, in every room they listen in,” said Matt Simmonds, Bluesound Product Manager. “Adding Apple Music means even more listeners can bring the music they love to their Bluesound system, with the simplicity of the BluOS Controller app and the sound quality Bluesound is known for.”

Apple Music brings access to over 100 million songs, ad-free. Personalized recommendations, expert-curated playlists, artist-hosted shows and global radio programming offer more ways to discover and explore the Apple Music catalog.

With BluOS multi-room, listeners can stream Apple Music on a single Bluesound Player or share the same music across multiple players throughout the home. Group rooms and audio zones together for a whole-home music experience or play something different in each room. Apple Music support is added to existing support for Apple AirPlay 2, which has long been part of the BluOS platform.

Apple Music is available on Bluesound and compatible BluOS enabled devices today through a free BluOS software update. An active Apple Music subscription is required.
