Expedia has launched its new Flight Deals tool, designed to help travelers find high-value airfares with greater confidence.
Available exclusively in the Expedia app, Flight Deals is a customizable deal feed that surfaces fares that are at least 20% lower than the typical predicted price for similar flights, says the company. The Flight Deals feature also includes a new interactive map, available on iOS, that helps travelers spot standout airfares at-a-glance, enabling faster and more intuitive trip planning.
Expedia Flight Deals is constantly analyzing millions of flights to identify deals that meet a minimum value and quality bar. Deals are identified using historical data and other price context factors, then run through a quality check that filters out fares with more than one stop or super‑long layovers.

Flight Deals evaluates trips starting with if a flight would actually make sense for a traveler, then highlighting options with smart routing, reasonable layovers, and value.
Located in the Expedia app under the “Search” tab, then “Find Deals,” Flight Deals offers an open-ended way to search for flights. Travelers simply select a home airport and can instantly browse flight deals to destinations worldwide, with estimated price differences for the journey highlighted directly in the feed. Deals can be filtered by destination, trip duration and travel date, and travelers can further personalize their experience by creating custom deal alerts.
Flight Deals includes a personalised feed so you can browse flight deals to anywhere, or filter by destination and travel date. The map view, available on iOS, helps travelers compare destinations, making it easier to spot where the best deals are available.
To qualify as a Flight Deal, a fare must be at least 20% lower than the typical predicted price for the route. Qualifying flights are displayed in the feed and are based on an analysis of 30+ factors, including historical data, booking windows, and seasonality.
Flight Deals is free, with no fee to see international flights or create custom deal alerts. It does not surface routes with more than one stop or super‑long layovers. It’s always updating as well, using machine learning to analyze millions of flights every day, sourcing new deals continuously and only surfacing deals that have been found in the last 24 hours. There are also custom deal alerts. While airfare prices can change daily, travelers can set customized notifications and be alerted when a new deal appears for a preferred destination and date range.
