BMX (Better Mobile Xperience), a Singapore-based mobile power company, has announced SolidSafe Air, an ultra-thin semi-solid-state 5,000mAh Qi2 power bank. Founded by the team behind Hyper, BMX is focused on building safer, more reliable portable power for travelers and mobile professionals.
Unveiled at CES 2026, the SolidSafe Air measures 103 x 70 x 6.8mm and delivers 5,000mAh of charging power. Designed for modern travelers and mobile users, it combines an ultra-slim form factor with semi-solid-state battery chemistry and titanium-reinforced construction to offer reliability and safety.

Semi-solid-state cell technology, says BMX, uses significantly reduced flammable liquid content, improving thermal stability and lowering fire risk compared to conventional lithium-ion batteries. BMX conducts internal puncture testing using drills, cutting tools, and nails to observe cell behaviour under direct mechanical damage, where traditional lithium-ion cells are more prone to thermal runaway, the company claims.
Each unit features a titanium-reinforced housing designed for impact resistance, a Qi2-certified 15W magnetic wireless charging system, and a 20W USB-C wired output for maximum flexibility.

At 18.5Wh, the 5,000mAh SolidSafe Air meets global airline carry-on battery limits (under 100Wh) and is certified to China Compulsory Certification (CCC) requirements, supporting compliant travel and use in mainland China for international travelers and business professionals. Along with its travel-ready design, the device delivers up to 20W output and features a 15W USB-C input for efficient recharging on the go.
Following the launch of SolidSafe Air (5,000mAh), BMX plans to expand the SolidSafe Air lineup in Q3 with several additional products designed to address a broader range of mobile power use cases. The planned expansion is expected to include ultra-slim Air models with integrated LED displays, variants featuring stand-based charging and integrated cables, higher-capacity versions supporting AVS fast-charging tiers up to 60W, 100W, and 140W, and Qi2.2-enabled designs for next-generation wireless charging.

The BMX SolidSafe Air 5,000mAh power bank is available for pre-order for US$60 with full availability at the end of March 2026. It comes in Titanium Gold, Titanium Black, and Titanium Silver. All units include a USB-C charging cable, user manual, and BMX’s 24-month warranty.
