iFi audio has released the GO link 2, a $99 compact USB dongle DAC designed to improve audio quality from laptops and smartphones. Many device makers use basic DAC chips that limit sound quality, but the GO link 2 bypasses these circuits, allowing for high-resolution music playback to meet the rising demand for lossless and hi-res audio.

The GO link 2 is equipped with the ESS Sabre DAC chipset, delivering high performance in a compact and energy-efficient design. With Spotify now offering Lossless audio, and platforms such as Apple Music, Tidal, and Qobuz providing up to 192kHz quality to an expanded user base, the GO link 2 ensures compatibility with leading Hi-Res streaming services. In addition, support for PCM 384kHz and DSD256 prepares users to curate their own Hi-Res music libraries beyond streaming.

The GO link 2 is iFi audio’s smallest and lightest DAC, now 8% smaller and 29% lighter than before. It’s the first in the range with full iFi Nexis app support for quick over-the-air firmware updates and new customization options, including hybrid and linear sound filters.
