Samsung has announced the latest in its growing A series line of value phones, the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G, both of which come with pro-level features like Awesome Intelligence, a pared down version of Galaxy AI, along with powerful cameras, and more.
Both phones are value models, though the Galaxy A57G is a mid-range option with a more powerful processor, aluminum frame, faster wired charging, and better cameras. The Galaxy A37, meanwhile, is the more budget-conscious option with a plastic frame and less powerful processor.
The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G features a slimmer, more refined design and upgraded AI-powered capabilities. Both phones boast the new One UI 8.5 and Awesome Intelligence features like Voice Transcription within the Voice Recorder app so you can easily revisit important details from meetings, lectures, and calls by quickly transcribing and translating call recordings or turning voicemail audio into text.
AI Select is easier to access with a long press on the Edge Panel, surfacing relevant actions directly on the screen to extract text or create content without manually selecting items. AI Select also supports Drag & Drop in Multi-Window layout, so you can easily move images into Samsung Notes or Photo Editor for faster editing and improved productivity.
Awesome Intelligence also plays into photo editing with features like Object Eraser that delivers more natural results when removing unwanted distractions, Best Face (Galaxy A57 only) with support for more photos and continuous shooting so you can get the best group shot, Filters, and Edit Suggestion for refining photos. For videos, the Galaxy A57 also includes Auto Trim for easier video editing. You also get the popular Google Circle to Search feature, now with multi-object recognition to explore multiple items in an image at once, like an entire outfit and surrounding accessories.
You also have a choice of intelligence agents with both upgraded Bixby for intuitively controlling Galaxy settings and features using natural language commands and Gemini within native Galaxy apps as well as select third-party apps.
Both the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G deliver brighter, clearer visuals powered by the upgraded camera hardware and an improved Image Signal Processor (ISP), says Samsung. They both have a versatile triple-camera system, led by a 50MP main sensor, delivering sharp, detailed images across a wide range of lighting conditions without the need for manual adjustments, the company adds. They also boast Nightography for improved low-light photography, while enhanced image processing sharpens detail and reduces noise for clearer, more vibrant results.
Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G also benefit from AI-based subject recognition and scene optimization to balance portraits, preserve natural skin tones, and create clearer background separation. The ultra-wide lens captures more in every group photo or landscape view, while the 5MP macro camera reveals fine details up close.
The Galaxy A57 5G delivers an improved design and performance, combining upgraded CPU, GPU, and NPU. It employs a glossy finish and distinctive triple-camera island. It has a 5,000mAh battery that supports up to two days of use along with Super Fast Charging 2.0 that can boost the battery to up to 60% in around 30 minutes. There’s also a 13% larger vapor chamber that helps sustain performance during extended gaming or recording. There’s also slimmer bezels and a bright Super AMOLED + display with Vision Booster on both models.
The Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G are rated IP68 for dust and water resistance. They come with Knox Vault for keeping your data secure along with features like Security & Privacy Dashboard, Auto Blocker, Private Sharing, Theft Protection, and the new Private Album, a Gallery feature where you can lock away personal media. The phones will also proactively notify you about potential risks with Privacy Alerts, intelligent notifications that offer clearer insight and control over location permissions or suspicious monitoring of sensitive data.
