Father’s Day Gift Guide 2026: Best Tech for Dad

Father’s Day is Sunday, June 21, 2026, the day when you shower dad with love and spend time with him. Whether it’s tossing a baseball in the backyard or taking him out for a fancy dinner at his favourite local spot, it’s a special day to treat dad and show your appreciation for everything he does. You’ll want to wrap something with a nice bow for him, too. Tech is a great option, and we have some solid Father’s Day gifts for dad that you should consider adding to your cart.

Top Picks (Sponsored and Editor’s Choice)

Samsung R95H Micro RGB TV

Samsung R95H Micro RGB TV

The benefit of upgrading dad with a new TV for the living room or games room is that everyone in the family can enjoy it, too. The Samsung 95H Micro RGB TV is a good choice, with sizes from 65 inches up to 115 inches. Powered by the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, you get more precise colour, bright, beautiful images, and deep blacks thanks to Micro RGB technology. The Glare-free panel is a game-changer for off-axis viewing and watching TV or gaming in a brighter room. With AI features like AI Soccer Mode Pro, dad will enjoy soccer games and other sports in a way he never has before. The 65-inch model is $4,500, but why not go big or go home with the 85-incher for $8,500? If you want to go as big but have a smaller budget, the Samsung R85H, which I have compared to the R95H side-by-side, is just as fantastic with some step-down processing and wide-angle viewing versus a glare-free screen. The price for an 85-inch R85H? Just $3,000, which is still a big investment, but much more palatable.

iFi Audio Zen Air DAC 2 DAC/Amp

iFi Zen Air DAC

This entry-level desktop DAC/amp is perfect for dad trying one for the first time. The iFi Audio Zen Air DAC 2 comes in Midnight Blue finish with upgraded Cirrus Logic DAC circuitry for improved dynamics, clarity, and reduced distortion. This edition features a 4.4mm balanced headphone output, a feature previously only available in the standard Zen series. Balanced headphones can benefit from reduced noise and crosstalk, as well as improved spatial separation. The DAC 2 also supports single-ended headphones, with the potential for increased performance as dad upgrades his setup. The balanced circuit allows the Zen Air DAC 2 to provide up to three times the headphone drive power of its predecessor. The device includes iFi’s “XBass+” for low-frequency enhancement and “PowerMatch” to increase gain by 6dB for headphones that require additional drive. Both features are accessible via buttons on the front panel. Available in Canada through Gemsen, it sells for $189.

NAD C 589 CD Player

NAD C 589

Has dad been joining the CD resurgence? If so, get him the NAD C 589 CD player, which boasts QRONO d2a digital audio technology developed by MQA Labs that improves digital timing and reconstruction accuracy. By refining the way digital signals are converted to analogue, QRONO d2a enhances spatial detail, transient accuracy, and musical flow, says NAD. It has a large front-panel display with CD Text support that shows artist and track information when available. With the included remote, dad can navigate playback comfortably from his listening position. It has a precision disc loader and transport mechanism engineered for smooth, quiet, and reliable operation. Balanced XLR and RCA analogue outputs allow direct connection to integrated amplifiers or preamplifiers, while AES/EBU, coaxial, and optical digital outputs enable the player to function as a dedicated CD transport for external DACs. Available through Lenbrook, it sells in Canada for $1,999.

Marshall x Hendrix Acton III Bluetooth Speaker

Marshall Hendrix Acton III Bluetooth speaker

If dad loves to rock out to some Jimmy Hendrix, he’ll fall in love with the special edition Marshall Acton III Bluetooth speaker, designed in celebration of 60 years since the musician first plugged in a Marshall amplifier. It comes in a stunning, velvet textured purple finish with a silver control panel featuring purple knobs and purple LED lights. An all-seeing eye is stamped in silver onto the side. When he turns on the speaker, he’ll hear a rare instrumental version of “Have You Ever Been (To Electric Ladyland)” from The Jimi Hendrix Experience deluxe box set. The Acton III sells in Canada for $380 and is available through Erikson Consumer.

Dali Vega Wireless Sound System

Dali Vega

Dads who are into modern and unique design will appreciate the Dali Vega wireless sound system that has 10 drivers, ultra-light soft dome tweeters, and bass midrange drivers in a single chassis that can be placed on a cabinet or other flat surface or mounted on the wall in horizontal or vertical orientation. He’ll get room-filling sound for his den or “man cave,” with 400W amplification delivered across eight 50W channels and optimized acoustic components. Integrating BluOS streaming and with a wide range of inputs, five presets, and an intelligent OLED display, dad will be impressed. It comes in Dark or Natural Oak for US$4,500 and won’t be available until later this year, but an IOU will do. Dali products are available in Canada through Lenbrook.

Shokz OpenFit Pro Wireless Open-Ear Buds

Shokz OpenFit Pro

The Shokz OpenFit Pros are one of the best wireless open-ear buds I have tried for one reason: they uniquely have noise reduction technology, which is rare for open-ears. Perfect for dads who run, they offer a level of noise reduction he likely doesn’t get from his existing pair of open-ears while still affording situational awareness. Plus, he can wear them for work Zoom calls, while working out at the gym, or taking the train to work, too. They even support Dolby Audio as well as Dolby Head Tracking and offer powerful bass. $330. Read my review.

Ooni Koda 2 Pro Outdoor Pizza Oven and Rotating Stone Oven Range

Ooni Koda 2 Pro Rotating Stone

When I reviewed the Ooni Koda 2 Pro outdoor pizza oven last year, the one challenge I had was getting the technique right for sliding pizza off the peel then turning it every 20 seconds while it cooked. Ooni is helping simplify this task and enhancing how you can cook other foods like rotisserie chicken with the new Rotating Stone accessory. By shifting the weight and rotating mechanism to the perimeter of the stone, Ooni has eliminated wobbling and stalling that’s common in central-platform designs. It works with both pizza as well as an up to 15 lb. cast-iron skillet for cooking dishes like a full-sized roast chicken. I’ll be reviewing it soon, so stay tuned. A bundle that includes the Koda 2 Pro and the Rotating Stone is $1,099. If dad already has the oven (it’s compatible with other models, too), the Rotating Stone on its own starts at $329. Read my review of the Koda 2 Pro.

Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 – Nike Special Edition Earbuds

Powerbeats Pro 2 - Nike Edition

The Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 – Nike Special Edition is the limited-edition earbuds you should get for dad if he loves Beats, Nike, or both. They’re the same as the traditional Powerbeats Pro 2 wireless earbuds but feature the iconic Nike Swoosh on the right bud alongside the signature Beats “b” on the left as part of a co-branding partnership. They are also designed with Nike’s “Volt” colour palette, finished in matte black with a Volt-speckled charging case. Upon opening, you’re greeted by Nike’s “Just Do It” mantra printed inside the lid. They offer noise cancellation with transparency mode, biometric integration via built-in heart rate monitoring that syncs with the Fitness app and Nike Run Club, up to 45 hours battery life with the charging case, and IPX4 sweat and water resistance. They come with wrap-around ear hooks. The price? US$250.

Sonos Play Portable Speaker

Sonos Play

Replacing the Sonos Move 2, the Sonos Play is the perfect portable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi speaker for dad that he can use just about anywhere: as a desk speaker, in the kitchen while he whips up dinner or by the barbecue while he does the same, out by the pool, at the beach – you name it. He can even pair two for stereo sound over both Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. It comes with a charging base and can run for up to 24 hours per charge. Carry it using the removable utility loop. Housed in a durable IP67 rated chassis, it works with voice services, Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay 2, and the Sonos app. Pick up a Sonos Play for $399 ea., but I’d recommend getting dad two (or save the second one for Christmas!) Stay tuned for my review.

DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Gimbal Camera

DJI Osmo Pocket 4

I’m currently reviewing the DJI Osmo Pocket 4, but the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is a tech device that I use often. In my review two years ago, I named it one of my favourite tech devices of 2025 (it made my 2024 favourite tech of the year list, too.) The Osmo Pocket 4 improves on the experience with better quality and higher-res image capture with clearer low-light shots, new intelligent tracking, and Quick Shots via gesture control. Dad will love Slow Shutter Video to create motion blur and Film Tone to recreate classic styles. Whether he’s using this to record the kids’ baseball games or his own content for social media, he’ll love it. It’s US$477 on its own but I would recommend the Creator Combo with loads of accessories for US$609. Stay tuned for my review.

Ecovacs Ultramarine P1 Robot Pool Cleaner

Ecovacs Ultramarine P1 robot pool cleaner

Dad probably loves having a pool when he gets to relax in it but hates having one when it’s time to clean it. He can sit back and relax on a lawn chair while the Ecovacs Ultramarine P1 takes care of things for him. As the brand’s first robotic pool cleaner, it offers powerful 4800GPH UltraPure Suction Technology and an optimized S-flow anti-clog channel designed to efficiently extract leaves, sand, and fine debris from every surface of the pool. A Dual-Layer Filter combining a 180-micron outer mesh and a three-micron ultra-fine inner filter captures more than 10 types of debris, including fine particulates like pollen. It uses the SmartNavi Intelligent Navigation System so it can run independently, following an efficient route, avoiding obstacles, and scrubbing floors and walls so dad has less manual brushing to do. It can run for up to three hours and cover a space as large as 1,938 square feet. So, encourage dad to crack open a beer, put his feet up, and watch it do its thing. At just US$500, it’s not crazy-expensive either.

LG UltraGear evo GM9 Gaming Monitor

LG gaming monitor

Speaking of gaming, if dad is a gamer, consider getting him the new LG evo GX9, a 39-inch 5K2K curved OLED gaming monitor that will wow him compared to his tiny PC monitor. The gorgeous 39-inch OLED screen offers near-instant 0.03ms (GtG) response time. The curved OLED boasts 5,120 x 2,160 resolution and 21:9 ultrawide format with 1500R curve and 143 PPI pixel density. Connectivity options include DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20),9 HDMI 2.1, and USB-C with 90W power delivery. Starting at $2,200, dad will be able to use it for his work-from-home days, too.

Govee TV Backlight 3

Govee TV Backlight 3

The Govee TV Backlight 3 has an advanced lens architecture and expanded red spectrum IR filter for warm tones. Designed to be positioned behind a TV or monitor to provide a cool ambiance, dad might want this for his gaming room. It divides the screen into up to 24 independent zones, each analyzing and reproducing its corresponding section. The result is a layered, natural ambient glow that feels like the picture is flowing beyond the edges of the display. Govee AI content filters automatically adapt to what’s playing, so it looks moody and restrained for thrillers, for example, vibrant and dynamic for animation, soft and warm for documentaries, and so on. Designed to disappear behind the TV, the camera module is smaller than a thumb drive. Dad can install it easily in minutes using a custom high-bond adhesive, no tools or drilling needed: just peel and stick. Use the Govee app to access preset scenes and sync up to 10 Govee devices, including lamps, strips, bulbs, and more, or let the lights move to the rhythm with Music Mode. The TV Backlight 3 is fully compatible with Matter and integrates seamlessly with Alexa, Apple HomeKit, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings. Get it for about $250, depending on the size of TV.

It responds to tilt and pressure in supported apps and works with tools like Sketch to Image that uses AI to turn drawings into polished visuals, and Handwriting Calculator that solves handwritten equations without app switching. Marshall Bromley 750

Marshall introduced its first party speaker, the Marshall Bromley 750, last year, and has followed it up with a smaller version, the Bromley 450, for dad to bring along on camping trips, use in the garage while he works on the car, or enjoy out on the deck while downing a few beers with the guys. Fitbit Air Screenless Wearable

Fitbit Air

If you get dad the Fitbit Air screenless fitness tracker, I would recommend signing him up for at least a year of Google Health Premium so he gets the most out of it. It does come with three free months, however, to get him started. The tracker looks like a bracelet with no screen, all the magic happening under the hood and the data collected and sent to the app. He can use it to track his activity, sleep, nutrition, calorie burn, steps, and vitals. With Google Health Premium, he can have a short onboarding conversation to discuss his goals (lose weight, build muscle, get better sleep), advise of his usual routine (weekly walks, gym workouts, maybe nothing) then get ongoing advice, encouragement, and analysis. If he likes basketball, get him the limited-edition Stephen Curry band version. The band is $130 (Steph Curry’s version a bit more) and Google Health Premium is $14/mo. So, for under $300, you can set dad up for the next year, then renew the subscription for his gift next year. I have been using the Fitbit Air for the last few weeks and love how much insight Google Health Premium provides, how comfortable it is to wear, the long-lasting battery, and the distraction-free simplicity.

If dad’s latest pastime is pickleball, or maybe another ball-centric sport, the PongBot Aura is a unique AI-powered training robot that can assist with pickleball, tennis, and padel, helping him improve through advice and automating the play process. A patented adaptive wheel track and auto-calibrated ball feed physically reconfigures to support the three sports. Compatible with balls from 40 to 80mm, you can choose the desired sport from the companion app. For tennis, Aura delivers full-court topspin, backspin, and flat shots at match speed. For pickleball, it drills dink precision and kitchen placement, mirroring real-game pressure on every rep. For padel, it simulates authentic side wall and back-wall rebounds, sharpening read and timing on every angle. Over-the-air updates unlock baseball, softball, and beyond without new hardware. Oura Ring 5 Smart Ring

Oura Ring 5

The newest edition of the popular smart ring, a follow up to the Oura Ring 4 I reviewed last year, the new Oura Ring 5 claims to be the smallest smart ring in the world. Crafted from lightweight, non-allergenic titanium, it’s thinner and lighter with a smoother curvature so it feels more natural on the finger. The low-profile sensor domes afford better skin contact, says the company, along with more powerful LEDs, clearer, more consistent readings, and 12 stronger signal pathways for greater accuracy across more finger types and skin tones. It’s also more scratch-resistant and boasts an IP68 rating so he can safely swim with it. It comes with the charging dock but you can also get him the charging case. Like the others, it requires a membership at US$70/yr. and the ring itself is US$499 for the premium finish or US$399 for the base. Order him a sizing kit and start him on his journey to better health and wellness!
