Asus ROG has launched its first gaming soundbar with the ROG Gjallar, which offers Dolby Atmos surround sound, wireless connectivity, and headset-free voice comms while gaming.
The 5.1.2-channel soundbar comes with an audio control box and offers AI-powered echo cancellation for immersive sound and clear communication across gaming PCs, consoles, handhelds, and TVs. Dedicated up-firing drivers enable Dolby Atmos height effects, creating a three-dimensional soundstage.
Complementing the soundbar is a wireless 6.5-inch 65W subwoofer that delivers room-filling bass. A dedicated 5GHz wireless connection ensures reliable, low-latency audio performance, while the subwoofer’s slim profile and cable-free design allow flexible placement without cluttering a gaming setup.
The ROG Gjallar includes a dedicated all-in-one audio control hub that keeps essential controls within easy reach on the desktop. Its LCD provides intuitive access to volume, playback controls, input selection, and EQ profiles, and lets you adjust Aura RGB lighting without interrupting gameplay.
The audio control hub houses advanced integrated microphones powered by a dedicated digital signal processor, Acoustic Echo Cancellation technology, and an AI beamforming algorithm. Together, these technologies intelligently filter teammate voices and in-game audio played through the speakers while suppressing ambient background noise.
The ROG Gjallar is compatible with Gear Link, Asus’s web-based customization platform that lets you personalize the audio experience without downloading software. Available through a web browser or the Gear Link mobile app, players can instantly adjust EQ profiles, microphone settings, Aura RGB lighting, display preferences, firmware updates, and more by connecting their device.
Built to serve as the audio hub for an entire gaming setup, it features USB-C, HDMI 2.1 with eARC, optical, 3.5 mm AUX, and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, making it easy to switch among gaming PCs, Macs, mobile devices, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and TVs.
HDMI 2.1 supports up to 4K at 120Hz video pass-through for smooth, high-refresh-rate gameplay, while eARC ensures lossless, high-resolution audio that remains in sync with the action. Two built-in USB Type-A ports provide convenient connectivity for wireless dongles and gaming peripherals.
