Apple Fitness+ Adds Time to Run Workouts for Canada Day

In celebration of Canada Day, Apple Fitness+ is adding four new Time to Run episodes celebrating Canada’s most iconic spots. They will be available for subscribers to select from Monday, June 30, 2025 through to Sunday, July 6, 2025 in a special section and continue to be available within the Time to Run section thereafter.

The running workouts are inspired by playlists, coaching, and photos from Montreal, Toronto, Banff National Park, and Vancouver. Time to Run is an audio running experience designed to help users become more consistent and better runners, featuring popular running routes in some of the most notable cities.

Here are the highlights.

Apple Fitness+ Time to Run

Time to Run: Montreal

The run is designed to bring you the vibrant spirit of the people of Montreal, with intervals that alternate between moderate and hard intensities. Fitness+ trainer Cory’s coaching helps set the mood alongside carefree pop and up-tempo beats featuring Canadian artists like Shawn Mendes and The Weeknd. The route winds through the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal and into the city’s cultural heart, the Quartier des spectacles.

Time to Run: Toronto

Featuring a progressive build inspired by Canada’s largest city, you’ll hear six songs alongside Fitness+ trainer Emily, who coaches you to gradually bump up your speed, from an easy pace to an all-out finish. The upbeat pop tracks feature popular Canadian performers like Justin Bieber and Drake, each of which builds in energy as you go. Tour some of T-dot’s most iconic spots, including the sky-high CN Tower, multicultural Kensington Market, and the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Time to Run: Banff National Park

Banff National Park is home to some of the most quintessentially Canadian landscapes: stunning turquoise lakes, craggy mountain peaks, and majestic glaciers. Fitness+ trainer Scott coaches you to run a negative split where you go at a moderate intensity for the first half then push to a hard intensity in the last half. The playlist starts with cool, breezy pop songs before switching to energetic dance tracks for a strong finish. The route winds through the charming town of Banff and has nature views in every direction, including a rushing waterfall. There’s even an iconic luxury hotel nestled in the Canadian Rockies.

Time to Run: Vancouver

Designed to match Vancouver’s mix of big-city life and the great outdoors, Fitness+ trainer Sherica designed this interval run to be a balance between easy and hard intensities. The playlist features breezy tracks from all Canadian artists like Michael Bublé and Nelly Furtado. The scenic route provides inspiration as run along the popular False Creek seawall and past one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, Science World.

Enjoy these runs to celebrate Canada!
