Audio-Technica has launched its new ATH-WB LTD audiophile wooden headphones, handcrafted from layered woods and premium materials.
Each pair of ATH-WB LTD headphones are finely crafted in Audio-Technica’s facility in Tokyo, Japan. The housings are made from flame maple, walnut, and mahogany, affording a multilayered appearance. Audio-Technica says the combination of the different woods yields excellent acoustic damping properties for purer, more musical audio reproduction. Complementing the wood, the earpads and headband are made from sheepskin.
The ATH-WB LTD incorporates a proprietary 45 mm driver with a powerful magnetic circuit and a DLC (diamond-like carbon) coated diaphragm for warm, detailed analog sound, says the company.
“The headphones offer articulate, textured bass, exceptional midrange accuracy and presence, and open, extended high-frequency reproduction,” Audio-Technica adds.
Compact in design, these headphones fold flat for east storage and transport.
The limited-edition Audio-Technica ATH-WB LTD wired wooden headphones will be available in limited quantities in June 2024 at a suggested retail price of US$1,599.
