Beyerdynamic has launched the DT 275 PRO, a compact monitoring headphone designed for fast and reliable audio control in professional, mobile workflows like on-location video shoots, field recording, mobile editing setups, and live sound environments.
The headphones, says Beyerdynamic, are built for audio professionals who need to make confident decisions in loud, real-world conditions, such as FOH engineers, content creators, and DJs. They combine high passive noise isolation, neutral sound tuning, and long-wearing comfort in a lightweight, travel-friendly design.
With a flexible headband and rotatable earcups, the headphones also include a secure locking cable for flexible routing, low-impedance compatibility across a wide range of playback devices, and user-replaceable components.
Delivering up to 22 dBA of passive noise attenuation, the closed-back on-ear design combined with soft, flexible earpads creates a reliable acoustic seal that effectively reduces ambient noise for accurate monitoring, says the company. The balanced, deliberately neutral tuning supports honest signal assessment without colouration, even at high volume levels, Beyerdynamic adds.
A standout feature is its special locking cable, which uses a secure bayonet connection designed to stay firmly attached during production. The cable can be connected to either the left or right earcup, allowing you to quickly adapt to camera rigs, audio bags, live sound setups, and DJ equipment without modification.
To support durability, the cable, earpads, and headband padding are all user-replaceable, helping extend product life and reduce downtime.
The beyerdynamic DT 275 PRO is available for US$150. They come with a 1.5-metre special locking cable with coiled and straight sections for flexible, controlled cable management, plus a 6.35 mm (1/4″) adapter, a drawstring carrying bag, and a quick start guide.
