Bluebird Music has been appointed Canadian and U.S. distributor of products from German manufacturer AVM (Audio Video Manufaktur), a company that has hand-crafted precision audio instruments since 1986.
AVM will be the sixth brand distributed by Bluebird, joining Chord Electronics, Jadis vacuum tube electronics, legendary SME tonearms and turntables, and Spendor and Vienna Acoustics loudspeakers.
“We already distribute five of the brightest stars in the audio universe,” says Jay Rein, President of Bluebird Music, “so taking on another brand is a serious undertaking for us. We feel that the quality of AVM’s products is equal to that of our other brands, and we’re certain that dealers, reviewers, and customers will come to agree with that statement.”
The AVM product line includes a full range of separate component preamplifiers, amplifiers, CD, and streaming media players. In addition, three models of all-in-one streaming receivers fill out the line.
“We’re most excited about the all-in-ones,” adds Rein. “They provide all the performance and functionality of full component systems, in a form factor that’s suitable for today’s smaller living spaces. These units stream, play Internet radio and CDs, include high-quality DACs for PCM and DSD, include Bluetooth and multi-room functionality as well as a great-sounding Class-A headphone amp, are Roon Ready, and can be controlled by excellent iOS and Android apps. The three models vary in output power, so there’s one suitable for any system or room.”
